ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Lynn University women's lacrosse team went toe-to-toe with No. 1 Flagler on Saturday afternoon at Flagler Lacrosse Field, battling throughout before falling 14-9 in a competitive road matchup.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Flagler jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first quarter

Olivia Fox put Lynn on the board with a man-up goal with three minutes remaining in the first, making it 4-1
- Flagler opened the second quarter with two goals to extend its lead to 6-3

Hannah Exley converted a man-up opportunity with 9:55 to play in the half, trimming the deficit to 6-4

Zoe Stewart brought Lynn within one goal three minutes later, making it 6-5
- Flagler added two more goals before halftime to take an 8-5 lead into the break
- Lynn continued to battle in the third quarter, scoring three goals to remain within striking distance

Madison Smith completed a hat trick with three goals in a two-minute span in the third quarter to bring Lynn within one, 9-8
- Fox added her second man-up goal in the fourth quarter, but Lynn could not complete the comeback
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Smith led Lynn with three goals, bringing her season total to eight
- Fox added two goals for the Fighting Knights, giving her five this season

Ava Ceglia recorded six saves in goal and now has 36 on the year
- Lynn finished with 21 total shots and 15 shots on goal
- The Fighting Knights won the draw control battle, 13–12
- Lynn forced 13 Flagler turnovers while committing just 11
