VALDOSTA, Ga. - The No. 17 Lynn University women's tennis team wrapped up the regular season on Saturday afternoon, falling to No. 2 West Florida, 4-0, at the Valdosta State Tennis Complex. The Fighting Knights faced a strong Argonauts squad that controlled doubles play and carried that momentum into singles to secure the victory.
The Blue and White conclude the regular season with a 12-8 overall record.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- West Florida claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3
- Jessica Frank and
Hailey Lizano dropped a 6-1 decision at No. 3 doubles
- West Florida secured the match with three straight-set victories in singles
- Garcia battled in the third flight but fell 6-2, 6-4
- Lizano dropped a 6-2, 6-3 decision in the fifth flight
- Frank was defeated 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6 singles
