Grabowski earns First Team Academic All-America honors, caps historic career for Lynn Swimming

AUSTIN, Tex. - Senior standout Maurice Grabowski has been named to the 2025-26 Academic All-America Men's Swimming & Diving First Team as selected by the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Wednesday.

Grabowski earns First Team honors after being named to the Third Team a year ago, becoming a repeat Academic All-American and elevating to the top tier of the prestigious award.

A native of Neu-Ulm, Germany, Grabowski holds a 3.71 GPA while majoring in International Business Management. He continues to exemplify excellence in both the classroom and the pool, further cementing his legacy as one of the most accomplished student-athletes in Lynn men's swimming history.

Grabowski's 2025-26 season stands as one of the most dominant campaigns in NCAA Division II history. The senior captured four individual national championships and five total gold medals at the NCAA Championships, sweeping the 50 freestyle (18.97), 100 butterfly (45.34), 100 backstroke (45.78) and 100 freestyle (41.89) while setting Sunshine State Conference records in each event. He also led off Lynn's NCAA Division II record-setting 200 medley relay that finished in 1:24.15.

Across the national meet, Grabowski totaled seven First Team All-America honors while leading the Fighting Knights to a fifth-place finish with 260 points-the highest NCAA finish in program history. His dominance extended to the conference level, where he was named Sunshine State Conference Swimmer of the Year and earned SSC Swimmer of the Meet honors for the second consecutive season.

The accolades continued to pour in following the season, as Grabowski was also recognized as the CSCAA Division II Men's Swimmer of the Year, solidifying his status as the top swimmer in the country. Just last week, he added another honor to his historic year, being named the Male Blue and White Athlete of the Year at Lynn's annual end-of-year athletics banquet.

With First Team Academic All-America recognition now added to his résumé, Grabowski caps off a truly historic career, one defined by national titles, record-breaking performances and academic excellence, while helping elevate Lynn men's swimming to national prominence.
