KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lynn University men's basketball continued its tradition of excellence in the classroom as the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) recognized the Fighting Knights with the 2025-26 NABC Team Academic Excellence Award. Head coach
Bill Morosco's program earned the distinction after posting a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the academic year.
In addition to the team honor, five Fighting Knights were named to the 2025-26 NABC Honors Court:
Artem Ryzhenkin,
Austin Vick,
JP Baron,
Noah Kattan and
Sveinn Birgisson.
The Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes men's basketball programs that complete the academic year with a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.0. The NABC Honors Court recognizes junior, senior and graduate student-athletes who finish the academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. More than 2,300 student-athletes from all levels of college basketball earned Honors Court recognition, while more than 400 programs received Team Academic Excellence Awards for the 2025-26 academic year.
Lynn was one of several Sunshine State Conference institutions to earn the Team Academic Excellence Award, continuing the program's commitment to success both on the court and in the classroom.
On the court, the Fighting Knights finished the 2025-26 season with a 14-14 overall record and a 9-11 mark in Sunshine State Conference play.
