MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Sunshine State Conference announced its weekly award winners Tuesday morning, naming Lynn freshman Alex Rigg the Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. It marks the first weekly honor of her career.

Rigg totaled three goals, one assist and seven points while helping the Fighting Knights earn consecutive shutout victories. She scored twice, including the game-winning goal, in Lynn's 5-0 win over Southeastern (Fla.) before adding a goal and an assist in a 3-0 victory over Edward Waters.

The freshman placed six of her nine shots on goal across the two matches and now leads Lynn with three goals and seven points this season.

The Fighting Knights open Sunshine State Conference play at Nova Southeastern on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 7:00 pm.
