ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Lynn University men's golf earned a runner-up finish at the 2026 Jay Jennison Cup on Tuesday at World Golf Village's Slammer & Squire Course. The Fighting Knights finished the 54-hole tournament at 24-under par, while Tristan Wieland captured a share of the individual title at 12-under. Lynn placed three golfers inside the top 20 and finished just four strokes behind tournament champion Flagler.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Wieland led the Fighting Knights with a three-round total of 204 (-12), posting rounds of 65 (-7), 67 (-5) and 72 (E) before falling to French in a playoff for medalist honors.
- The sophomore opened the tournament with a seven-under 65, recording eight birdies and an eagle on the par-5 11th hole
- Wieland followed with a five-under 67 in the second round, collecting seven birdies to move to 12-under through 36 holes
- He closed the tournament with an even-par 72 on Tuesday, securing a share of the individual championship in just his second tournament with the Fighting Knights
- Theo Desroches finished tied for seventh at eight-under 208, posting rounds of 73 (+1), 67 (-5) and 68 (-4)
- Desroches bounced back from his opening round with a five-under 67 in Monday's second round, carding six birdies, including four on the front nine
- The junior carried that momentum into Tuesday, recording six more birdies en route to a four-under 68 and his first top-10 finish of the season
- Sebastiano Mascia earned his second consecutive top-20 finish, tying for 16th at five-under 211 following rounds of 71 (-1), 68 (-4) and 72 (E)
- Mascia's second-round 68 featured six birdies, including four on the front nine, as he made the turn at four-under 32
- Cole Ropicky finished tied for 42nd at four-over 220, opening the tournament with back-to-back even-par rounds of 72 before closing with a 76 (+4)
- James McNair rounded out Lynn's team competitors in 56th place at nine-over 225, posting rounds of 75 (+3), 77 (+5) and 73 (+1)
- Competing as an individual, freshman Will Somers finished tied for 28th at one-under 215. Somers carded rounds of 74 (+2), 68 (-4) and 73 (+1), highlighted by a four-under second round that included an eagle on the par-5 11th hole
- Lynn opened the tournament with a seven-under team round before firing a 14-under second round, its lowest of the tournament, to move to 21-under through 36 holes
- The Fighting Knights closed with a three-under final round to finish at 24-under, one stroke ahead of third-place Embry-Riddle (-23)
- Lynn tied Flagler for the tournament lead with 63 birdies and finished with two eagles. The Fighting Knights also tied for second in par-4 scoring at 4.03 (+5) and played the par-5s at 19-under
