PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Lynn men's golf finished sixth out of 10 teams at the 2026 National Preview, hosted by Nova Southeastern at PGA National Resort's Champion Course. The Fighting Knights improved in each round, closing the tournament with a three-over-par final round to finish at +22. Tristan Wieland led Lynn's five-man lineup with a tie for 20th at +5, while James McNair tied for 17th at +4 competing as an individual.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn opened the tournament with an 11-over-par first round before improving to +8 in round two and +3 in the final round
- Wieland paced the Fighting Knights' lineup with a +5 total (72-77-72), tying for 20th overall. He bookended the tournament with even-par rounds
- Will Somers tied for 27th at +7 (72-71-80), highlighted by a one-under-par 71 in the second round. Somers carded five birdies during his second round, including three over his final four holes
- Theo Desroches tied for 38th at +12 (78-75-75), improving by three strokes following his opening round and closing with consecutive 75s
- Sebastiano Mascia produced Lynn's lowest round of the final day, firing a one-under-par 71 to finish tied for 41st at +13 (77-81-71)
- Matthew DePinto responded from an opening-round 88 with rounds of 73 and 73 to finish tied for 46th at +18
- McNair led Lynn's individual competitors, tying for 17th at +4 (75-75-70)
- He closed the tournament with a two-under-par 70, the lowest round by a Fighting Knight over the three rounds
- Charlie Pantalone also competed individually and tied for 49th at +19 (79-78-78)
 
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn improved its team score in each round, going from +11 to +8 before closing with a +3 final round
- The Fighting Knights ranked fifth in the field in par-3 scoring at 3.27 (+16)
- Somers tied for the best par-3 scoring mark in the entire field, playing the par 3s at 2.92 (-1)
- Lynn finished the tournament at eight-under-par on the par 5s
- The Fighting Knights recorded 43 birdies, the sixth-most in the 10-team field
- Lynn totaled 153 pars, tied for fifth among all teams
- Somers finished tied for sixth individually with 35 pars
- Wieland recorded just one double bogey or worse across his 54 holes
- McNair's final-round 70 was Lynn's lowest individual score of the tournament
