BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Lynn University men's soccer team shut out Rollins College, 3-0, in Sunshine State Conference action on Wednesday night at Bobby Campbell Stadium.
The Fighting Knights improve to 3-1-4 overall and 2-1-1 in SSC play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Rollins generated two shots on target inside the opening minute, but
Julian Marcos denied both attempts

Joao Silva created Lynn's first opportunity in the 10th minute, firing toward the bottom-right corner and forcing a save that resulted in a Fighting Knight corner

Robin Muenst delivered the ensuing corner into the box before the ball found
Louis Munn for an attempt from distance that went off frame

Thiago De Carvalho generated back-to-back opportunities five minutes later, including a low strike that forced another save from the Rollins goalkeeper
- The Blue and White continued to apply pressure with five more opportunities by the 37th minute, including attempts from Muenst,
Luan Barroso Rennstich and Silva
- Rollins threatened again in the 40th minute, forcing Marcos into a diving save to keep the match scoreless
- Lynn broke the deadlock with 20 seconds remaining in the first half as Muenst and Barroso Rennstich combined to set up
Fabian Wagner, who finished into the bottom-right corner for a 1-0 lead
- The Fighting Knights doubled their advantage four minutes into the second half when De Carvalho's corner found
Marc Vila, whose header toward goal was finished by Silva to make it 2-0
- Wagner searched for his second goal of the night in the 56th minute, putting an attempt on frame that was saved by the Rollins goalkeeper
- Lynn sealed the victory in the 83rd minute as Wagner played a through ball to Barroso Rennstich, who finished into the bottom-left corner for the 3-0 advantage
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn outshot Rollins 22-6, including a 13-4 advantage in shots on goal
- The Fighting Knights held an 11-5 advantage in corner kicks
- Lynn limited Rollins to just two shots in the second half
- Marcos made four saves to earn the clean sheet
- Wagner and Barroso Rennstich each recorded a goal and an assist
- Silva leads the Fighting Knights with four goals this season, the most on the team despite playing as a defender
- Munn led the Fighting Knights with five shots, including three on goal
- Lynn committed just three fouls compared to 14 by Rollins
