WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Lynn University women's soccer team battled a player down for more than 80 minutes before falling to Rollins College, 1-0, in Sunshine State Conference action on Wednesday night.
The Fighting Knights move to 4-4-1 overall and 0-3-1 in SSC play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Rollins generated the first chance of the match in the second minute before
Emma Brunelli made her first save of the night at 3:26
- Rollins continued to apply pressure with several first-half opportunities, including another save from Brunelli in the 19th minute

Juliana Torres Lopez created Lynn's first shot of the match in the 27th minute

Brisa Sastre generated the Fighting Knights' first shot on goal in the 38th minute, forcing a save from the Rollins goalkeeper
- Lynn entered halftime scoreless despite playing down a player for more than 36 minutes
- Alexandra Rigg opened the second half with an attempt on frame just 31 seconds after the restart that was saved
- Sastre followed with another shot on goal in the 55th minute as Lynn continued to generate chances while playing short-handed
- Rigg added another opportunity in the 58th minute before
Brooklyn Steiner put an attempt on target in the 70th minute
- Brunelli made back-to-back saves in the 66th and 73rd minutes to keep the match level
- Rollins nearly broke through in the 82nd minute with an attempt that struck the woodwork before Brunelli made a diving save moments later
- The Tars broke the deadlock at 82:39 to secure the 1-0 win

- Lynn generated five of its seven shots in the second half
- Brunelli finished with five saves and now has 37 total saves in 2026
- Brunelli ranks third in the SSC in total saves and second in the conference with 4.11 saves per game
- Rigg led the Fighting Knights with three shots, including one on goal
