Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. – On a night when six seniors were honored for the Lynn University women's soccer team, the Fighting Knights powered their way to a 10-1 win over Ave Maria thanks in part to five goals and two assists from the senior class.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Donish Henry-Cole opened the scoring less than one minute into the contest, deflecting a ball home off a Gyrene defender.
- Valentina Pedretti doubled the lead to two goals in the seventh minute, tapping in a through ball from Mara Notkin.
- Ave Maria got its only goal of the game in the 16th minute, as Alexia Mazzoccone hit a left-footed shot from the top of the box that went just over the keeper's hands and under the crossbar.
- Lynn closed the first half with three goals after allowing a score, as Gabriela Moreira, Natalie Turok and Pedretti made it a 5-1 game at the half.
- The Fighting Knights picked up where they left off in the second half, as Turok potted her second of the game just 33 seconds into the frame.
- Lynn rattled off three goals in a 1:05 second span between the 59th and 60th minutes, as Loreana Lonigro, Jamie Perriello and Henry-Cole pushed the lead to 9-1.
- Abby Duncan capped the scoring in the contest with her first career goal, as the senior finished a rebound inside the six-yard box to make it 10-1.
- Brittney Benedict had a pair of assists, as did Emily Weisberg.
- Alexa Downie earned her career-best sixth win in goal, stopping two shots for the Fighting Knights.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Lynn's 10 goals are tied for second-most in a single game in program history, a feat that had not been accomplished since 1997.
- The 42 shots attempted in the contest rank second all-time in program history, coming up short of a 66-shot outburst from 1998.
- With 11 assists in the contest, Lynn tied its second-highest mark in a single game in school history.
- The 10-goal explosion snapped a five-game losing streak for Lynn.
