Box Score Dahlonega, Ga. – After taking the first two games of the series against North Georgia, the Lynn University baseball team sought their first sweep of the year, but they came up a run short on Sunday afternoon as the Nighthawks edged the Fighting Knights, 5-4.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- The Blue and White, capable of offensive explosions, were limited to single run innings in the second, sixth, seventh and ninth.
- Only two members of the visiting team managed double-digit hitting performances today – Patrick Dorrian (3-for-4) and Karl Ellison (2-for-4). Others that hit safely include Frank Grandinette, Jake Rouse and Willie Seay.
- Rouse led the team and knocked in two of the four runs on the day.
- Michael Imperato earned the starting nod for game three, but was pulled after 3.0 IP and replaced by Jonathan Eisdorfer. The reliever went 3.0 IP as well, but was able to limit UNG to one run on three hits. Daniel Nuzzi came in to close the final 2.0 innings and shutout the Nighthawks the rest of the way and gave up just three hits in the process.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Today's game is the first all season that the Fighting Knights were held to under five runs in a game.
- Dorrian blasted his third homer of the season.
- This was Nuzzi's third-straight appearance, and second this weekend, without giving up a run.
