West Palm Beach, Fla. – Lynn University's eighth-ranked men's tennis squad bested another nationally-ranked opponent on Friday afternoon, blanking No. 46 Palm Beach Atlantic on the road in the first Sunshine State Conference matchup of the year, 9-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The 'Fish tested the Fighting Knights in doubles action but the away side pulled through with all three matches.
- Kay Bartmann/Jakub Jiricka were victorious at the top doubles flight, 8-4, Florian Clemares/Mehdi Laalej won the most convincingly at No. 2 (8-2) while Jean-Baptiste Mateo/Jose Porfirio Ordonez rounded out the sweep, 8-5.
- A quick win via retirement at No. 1 singles followed by 19th-ranked Mateo posting a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 2 secured Lynn it's fifth point.
- Bartmann and Tristan Houle added on with straight-set triumphs at No. 4 and No. 6, respectively. At No. 5, Jiricka won 6-3 in the opening frame before outlasting in the second set, 7-5.
- Clemares, playing in a three-set bout for the second straight match, bounced back after a first-set loss to win in a battle at No. 3 (2-6, 7-6 (10-8), 10-2).
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Lynn has faced a nationally-ranked foe in four of the last five matches, winning three.
- The Blue and White have never lost to PBA.
- The Fighting Knights have played five matches in the past seven days.

Lynn will receive a well-deserved rest before returning to the courts next Saturday, March 4, on the road at Florida Southern. First serve is slated for 10 a.m.
