Box Score 2 Columbus, Ga. – Lynn University's softball team came up a little short on the final day of the PBC/GSC Crossover, falling 6-4 to Shorter and 2-0 to Union (TN). Kayla Sheffield turned in a complete game in her first career start and Leanne Wright belted her second home run in as many days.

STATS FROM THE GAME:
- Game 1
- Francais Olexa earned the start in the circle and picked up her first complete game of the season, tossing six innings and allowing six runs, one earned, on five hits with three strikeouts.
- The Canadian southpaw helped herself at the plate as well, going 2-for-4 with a run scored and two runs batted in.
- Leanne Wright cleared the fence in left field for her second home run of the year while driving in a pair of runs.
- Sheffield logged a multi-hit game going 2-for-4 and Sara Vazquez swiped her first stolen base of the season.
- Lynn's defense committed five errors, three in the third inning, which led to five unearned runs.
- Game 2
- Sheffield had a much different turn in the circle in her second appearance, allowing two runs, one earned, over six innings.
- The Fighting Knights outhit Union 7-6 and stranded nine runners on base. Olexa and Wright collected two hits apiece.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Through four games, three players are hitting over .400 (Sheffield - .600; Victoria Rios - .500; and Wright - .400).
- Rios has reached base safely in six consecutive games dating back to last season.
