BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University's eighth-ranked men's tennis squad posted an 8-1 victory over the Boston University Terriers on Saturday to help kick off a five match homestand over the next week.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn took a 2-1 advantage from doubles play with an 8-3 victory at the top flight from Jose Porfirio Ordonez/Kay Bartmann and an 8-6 win at the No. 3 match from Jean-Baptiste Mateo/Tristan Houle.
- The Terriers scored their lone point on the day at No. 2 doubles, 8-3.
- Lynn went on to win all six singles contests in straight sets.
- 19th-ranked Mateo and Florian Clemares each posted 6-3, 6-3 wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 flights, respectively.
- 15th-ranked Bartmann (No. 4) and Porfirio Ordonez (No. 6) surrendered just one game through two sets in their respective singles bouts.
- Mehdi Laalej took the No. 2 flight, 6-4, 6-1, with Houle winning at No. 5, 6-1, 6-4.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- It was the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
- Boston had played three matches in the past four days.
