BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University's men's tennis team picked up its 10th win of the season and eighth straight on Monday evening as the eighth-ranked Fighting Knights defeated the Auburn University of Montgomery Warhawks, 5-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- All three doubles contests were close battles with the Blue and White securing two flights.
- Kay Bartmann and Jose Porfirio Ordonez got on the board with an 8-5 triumph at No. 2 doubles while Jean-Baptiste Mateo and Tristan Houle followed up with an 8-6 win at No. 3.
- The Warhawks notched their lone point of the day at the top doubles flight, 8-4.
- Lynn rattled off three straight-set victories at the top half of the singles lineup to squash any potential AUM comeback.
- 19th-ranked Mateo got things going with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles.
- Mehdi Laalej and 15th-ranked Bartmann immediately followed up with 6-3, 6-0 wins at the first and third flights, respectively, giving Lynn its match-clinching fifth point.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Earlier today, Mateo earned his second consecutive -- and third of the year -- Sunshine State Conference Athlete of the Week accolade.
- Lynn gets revenge on AUM after the Warhawks defeated the Fighting Knights last year for the first time since 2011.
- AUM is now on a three match skid.
