Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – After upset losses during the regular season to Nova Southeastern the past two years, Lynn University's women's tennis team earned its redemption on Monday as the second-ranked Fighting Knights went on the road and bounced the 26th-ranked Sharks in Sunshine State Conference action, 8-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn took all three doubles matches but had a battle at the top position.
- Grace Mpassy/Diana Bogolii and Tereza Hejlova/Carolina Cuevas started off the match with 8-1 victories at the second and third doubles flights, respectively.
- Rosalie Willig and Stefanie Stemmer tussled with the 23rd-ranked duo of Liucelena Perez and Isabella Lowrey at No. 1 but came through clutch in a tiebreaker for a 9-8 (7-1) triumph.
- Singles action finished in reverse order with Lynn earning its fourth point with a default win at No. 6.
- Martina Gledacheva (No. 5) and Stemmer (No. 4) surrendered just two games in their straight-set singles victories.
- 15th-ranked Willig rolled Isabella Lowrey at No. 3, 6-1, 6-0, while 14th-ranked Mpassy toppled Nastassia Rubel at the second flight, 6-3, 6-1.
- The No. 1 singles bout was a battle of top-10 singles players with NSU scoring its lone point of the match behind No. 9 Perez's third-set super-breaker victory over No. 6 Bogolii (5-7, 6-2, 10-6).
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Nova won the regular-season matchup the last two years, but Lynn cruised past NSU in the postseason each of the past two years.
- Lynn has not lost a doubles match all season.
- NSU's Perez, a Division I graduate transfer for the University of Alabama, is 10-0 on the season at No. 1 singles.
