St. Petersburg, Fla. – After falling behind 2-1 at the conclusion of doubles action, the eighth-ranked Lynn University men's tennis team won all six singles contests in straight sets to come back and down Eckerd College 7-2 on Friday in a Sunshine State Conference bout.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Mehdi Laalej and Florian Clemares posted Lynn's only doubles victory on the day with an 8-4 tally at the top flight.
- The remaining two pairs matches were tight, with Eckerd winning 9-7 at No. 2 and 8-6 at No. 3.
- The Fighting Knights showcased strong play in singles to secure the win.
- Laalej picked up his second win of the day at the top flight, 6-0, 7-5.
- Jean-Baptiste Mateo remained undefeated on the season in singles with a 7-5, 6-3 triumph at No. 2.
- Jose Porfirio Ordonez, playing in the top half of the lineup for the first time this season, won at No. 3, 6-2, 6-4.
- Tristan Houle posted a strong win at No. 4, 6-1, 6-0.
- Clemares (No. 5) and Paulo Santos Costa (No. 6) rounded out the lineup with straight-set victories.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Danyang Xu, playing at No. 3 doubles, saw his first action of the season while Santos Costa made his second appearance of the year. Santos Costa is 2-0 in singles this season.
- Lynn extends its win streak to 13 matches.
