Lakeland, Fla. – The eighth-ranked Lynn University men's tennis team picked up another road win on Saturday as it took a 5-4 decision over No. 40 Florida Southern in league play. After falling behind in doubles, the Fighting Knights rattled off four consecutive victories in singles play to secure the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Blue and White headed into singles down 2-1 with the lone point coming from the No. 3 doubles tandem of Jean-Baptiste Mateo and Tristan Houle (8-2).
- Down but not out, four straight Fighting Knight victories catapulted the squad to a 5-4 win.
- 19th-ranked Mateo took his momentum from his doubles win to begin the Lynn comeback as he dismantled Fabian Lundberg 6-1, 6-1 at the top singles flight.
- A 6-3, 6-1 'W' from Jose Porfirio Ordonez over Oscar Sodelund at the No. 6 spot put the Blue and White out in front.
- 15th-ranked Kay Bartmann put up the third consecutive win for the Fighting Knights after beating Jose de Sario 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 2 position.
- It was at the No. 4 slot that Houle clinched the match in the favor of Lynn as he came out on top 6-3, 6-4 over Laurent Mailoux.
- The following two matchups at the No. 5 and No. 3 flights went to the Mocs, with both coming down to a third set.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Houle (5-0), Bartmann (7-0) and Mateo (9-0) continue to be undefeated in singles play this season.
- The Fighting Knights have won six of their last seven.
