Daytona Beach, Fla. – Lynn University's eighth-ranked men's tennis team swept the 44th-ranked Lewis University Flyers on Wednesday, 9-0, in a nonconference, neutral site contest on the campus of Embry-Riddle University.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights had a battle at the top flight but pulled out all three doubles contests.
- Kay Bartmann and Jakub Jiricka outlasted Andre Norasith and Brendan Peterson at No. 1 doubles, 8-6.
- Florian Clemares/Jose Porfirio Ordonez and Jean-Baptiste Mateo/Tristan Houle posted 8-2 wins to close out the doubles sweep.
- Lynn's nationally ranked singles players of Mateo (#19) and Bartmann (#15) notched straight-set wins at the top two singles positions.
- Clemares recorded identical 6-1 sets in a triumph at No. 3.
- Jiricka and Houle each went the distance and persevered. At No. 4, Jiricka bounced back and won 5-7, 7-5, 10-6. At No. 5, Houle closed out in the third, 6-1, 3-6, 10-2.
- Porfirio Ordonez dominated at No. 6, 6-0, 6-1.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Lynn and Lewis have met twice historically, with Lynn victories in 2015 (8-1) & 2017.
- The Fighting Knights now return to Boca Raton for five home matches over a span of seven days.
