Boca Raton, Florida - Lynn University basketball player Branden Ellis has been chosen as one of six athletes to compete in the Dark Horse Dunker competition. If he were to win, he would have the opportunity to compete in the 33rd annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships on March 31.
The field was announced today by Intersport and the competition began today at 1 p.m. The field consists of under-the-radar players from all levels of college basketball who possess the ability to compete against high-major stars.
Voting for the first round of the competition runs from Mar. 11-16 at 1 p.m. If Ellis were to advance to the final, voting would take place Mar. 17 at 1 p.m. through Mar. 24 at 1 p.m. To vote, please visit CollegeSlam.com.
Ellis will be competing against the following five "Dark Horse Dunkers" who are each looking for their chance to showcase their talents in the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships:
