West Palm Beach, Florida – The Fighting Knights would ride their quick start in the first quarter all the way to victory over the Sailfish 16-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Fighting Knights would dominate from the start, scoring four unanswered goals in the first four minutes of the game.
  • The Sailfish would score their first and only goal of the quarter with 7:38 remaining. Lynn would outscore Palm Beach Atlantic 2-1 in final seven minutes to take a 6-1 first quarter lead.
  • Sydney Hill would score two of the six goals in the first quarter to lead Lynn.
  • Anna Laskaris would strike first for the Sailfish to start the second quarter to make it 6-2 early in the second. Bayley Tracy would strike back with a goal of her own, assisted by Carly McNeil three minutes into the second quarter.
  • Diane Dohler would dominate the rest of the period scoring three of the final four Fighting Knight goals.
  • Laskaris would add one more goal for the Sailfish late in the quarter, but still go into halftime down to the Fighting Knights 11-3
  • Mallory Jarka would score the lone goal for the Fighting Knights in the third quarter to put them up 12-6 going into the fourth.
  • Sydney Hill would slash and score for the first goal in the fourth quarter, then Diane Dohler would score one of her own. 
  • The Fighting Knights would score two more goals to put the game out of reach as they roll over the Sailfish 16-7.
  • Diane Dohler would score a season and game high five goals, followed by Hill and Kristyn Johnson with three each.
  • Ginger Stein led Lynn defensively with two caused turnovers in the game, followed by eight other Fighting Knights with one.
  • Carolyn Stein would get the start and record eight saves in 15 shots against.

The Fighting Knights will look to keep the momentum going when they come back home against Tampa on Saturday, Apr. 23 for at 1 p.m.
