Bradenton, Florida - The Fighting Knights picked up a dominant win in the quarterfinals of the Sunshine State Conference Tournament, taking down fifth-seeded Tampa 4-0. They will play top-seeded Barry tomorrow in the semifinals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lynn started off the postseason with their 33rd consecutive win over the Spartans. Lynn has never lost to Tampa.
- In doubles, Irina Lapustina and Barbora Cibakova won third doubles 6-2, then Jacqueline Wagner and Karyna Bihel wrapped up the first point of the match by winning first doubles 6-3.
- With the 1-0 lead heading into singles, the Fighting Knights wasted no time in wrapping up the match.
- National No. 46 Wagner won first singles 6-3, 6-2 for the most lopsided victory of the day.
- Zofia Podbiol put Lynn within one point of clinching the match when she defeated No. 33 Maeva Roquebert 6-2, 6-4 in second singles.
- No. 31 Giorgia Pigato sealed the deal for the Fighting Knights, winning third singles 6-4, 6-4.
- The remaining three matches were left unfinished with Lynn leading in two of them.
UP NEXT
The Fighting Knights will take on national and SSC No. 1 Barry tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the SSC Semifinals. Earlier in the season, the Bucs defeated the Fighting Knights 6-1.
