FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Lynn University women's tennis team collected four wins on the second day of the Shark Invitational at Nova Southeastern University. The Fighting Knights posted two wins in both singles and doubles action for the second day-in-a-row.
SINGLES DRAW:
Semifinals
- Sophomore
Greta Schieroni posted an impressive win for the Fighting Knights in the early morning semifinals when she took down Julie Razafindranaly, the reigning Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year. Schieroni won the match 7-6 (5).
- Freshman
Kristen Younes also posted an early morning win when she defeated Esmee Andresen of Hillsborough, 6-3, 6-4.
DOUBLES DRAW:
Round 3
- Schieroni and Younes opened their day with a win in doubles before their singles victories later in the morning. The duo took down Hillsborough's tandem of Yvette Schmucker and Vanja Vidanovic, 6-2
- Lynn's team of junior
Barbora Cibakova and sophomore
Zofia Podbiol also posted a win in open doubles, 6-3
