MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference released its 2024 Men's Cross Country All-Conference Teams and Lynn University senior
Luke Anthony Sweatman was named to the Second Team.
Sweatman helped the Fighting Knights finish in second place at three of their four regular season meets this year, while the team also took third out of 13 teams at the Ave Maria Invite.
He led Lynn to its runner-up finish at the Keiser Flagship Invitational with his third-place finish (5K) in 15:56.20. The Thibodaux, La. product then placed second at the Bobcat Invitational and third at the STU Invite. His stellar regular season concluded with a runner-up finish at the Ave Maria Invitational in a field of 117 runners. At SSC Championships, the senior led Lynn with a 12
th place run.
Sweatman is the third Fighting Knight ever to be named to an All-SSC team, joining Jimmy Metayer (2000) and Hunter Hobbs (2018). He was one of just 14 runners from the conference to be honored.
