Four named All-SSC

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Lynn University men's tennis team has landed four of its student-athletes on the 2024 All-Sunshine State Conference teams, the league announced today.
 
Junior Gabriele Felline captured First Team Singles, sophomore Yaron Guberman was selected Second Team Singles, while the duo of graduate Jonathan Olive-Blanco and junior Gianmarco Amatiste were named Second Team Doubles.
 
Felline, the country's 32nd-ranked player, finished the season with an 11-4 overall record, a 5-2 mark in the SSC, and eight of his wins came in the No. 1 position. Felline also finished with seven wins in doubles action.
 
Guberman, an Honorable Mention selection a year ago, finished 11-1 overall with 11 consecutive wins after opening the season with a loss. He closed the season with an unblemished 6-0 mark in the SSC and a 3-0 slate against ranked opponents.  Guberman finished 6-0 at No. 3 singles, added four wins in the fifth flight and picked up one win in No. 2 singles.
 
Olive-Blanco and Amatiste paced the Fighting Knights with 10 wins, including a 9-2 mark in the second flight. They finished with a 5-2 mark against the SSC with doubles wins against ninth-ranked Rollins and 11th-ranked Florida Southern.
 
The Fighting Knights await a possible berth in the NCAA Tournament as the NCAA selection show is Monday, May 6 at 8:00 pm
