WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Senior Luke Anthony Sweatman took home third place to help lead the Lynn University men's cross country team to a runner-up finish at the season-opening Keiser Flagship Invitational (5k), Friday morning.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights finished in second place with a score of 39, while Palm Beach Atlantic won the meet with a score of 20
- Lynn's top four runners finished inside the top-10, while seven runners finished in the top-20
- Sweatman took home third in 15:56.20, just a second behind the second-place finisher
- The third-place finish is his fourth top-10 finish in the last three seasons
- Junior Renzo Almeida captured seventh in 16:36.90
- It was Almeida's second top-10 finish in the last two seasons
- Senior Joseph Haynes finished in eighth place with a PR 16:45.30
- Senior Cameron Matejka was 10^th with a PR 16:51.80, freshman Josh Uhrig was 11^th (16:52.80) and freshman Lucas Oliveira was 12^th in 16:54.20
- Freshman Christopher Cotilla captured 18^th in 17:26.00
- Sophomore Kyle Juliano was 22^nd at a PR 18:09.50
- Sophomore Ethan Friedman took 29^th (19:01.60), freshman Tyler Barrios grabbed 30^th (19:01.60) and sophomore Jack Flavin finished in 31^st (20:12.20 - PR)
