MELBOURNE, Fla. - The 2025 SSC Softball All-Conference Awards were released today, and Lynn University graduate outfielder Kyra Sunga was named to the All-SSC Defensive Team.
 
This award marks Sunga's second All-SSC honor with the Fighting Knights, being named First Team All-SSC in 2024.
 
Sunga was near-perfect in center field, recording 97 putouts, six assists and just one error for a .990 fielding percentage on 104 total chances. Most notably, the Los Angeles, California native recorded two stellar double plays from her position in the outfield.
 
Overall, Sunga put together a valiant final season in the Blue and White, leading the team at the plate with a .329 batting average on 47 hits including 13 doubles, three triples and one home run. She tallied a squad-best 33 runs while bringing in 25 RBI and swiping 15 stolen bases. She also led the Fighting Knights in slugging percentage (.483) and on-base percentage (.406).
 
The Fighting Knights recently wrapped up their 2025 campaign, bringing home 21 total wins including seven against SSC opponents.
