NORMAN, Okla. – Three members of the Lynn University men's golf team have been honored as NCAA Division II Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars, as announced Tuesday afternoon.
Joseph Hudak,
Matthew DePinto, and
Jose Ramirez each earned the illustrious recognition for their excellence both on the course and in the classroom.
Hudak, a Business Administration major, posted an impressive 3.97 cumulative GPA along with a 73.6 adjusted scoring average. DePinto, majoring in Sports Management, carried a 3.39 GPA and recorded a 74.7 scoring average. Ramirez, also studying Business Administration, maintained a 3.92 GPA while matching DePinto's 74.7 adjusted scoring average.
To qualify for the Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honor, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, compete in a minimum of 50% of their team's competitive rounds, hold a stroke average below 78.0, and maintain a cumulative career GPA of 3.2 or higher. Honorees must also be of high moral character and in good standing with their institution.
