BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Preseason Coaches Poll was released on Monday morning, with Lynn University checking in at No. 11 nationally, joining six other programs from the Sunshine State Conference.
The Fighting Knights are coming off a strong 2025 campaign in which they posted a 15-5 overall record, finished 4-3 in conference play, and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division II Tournament. Lynn spent much of the season ranked among the nation's top teams, continuing its rise as a national contender.
Lynn returns several key contributors from last season, led by
Rebecca Clark, who earned Division II All-South Region, All-SSC, and USA Lacrosse All-American honors in 2025. One of the most complete players in the region, Clark led the team in assists (37) while also ranking among the team's top goal scorers with 55 goals.
The Fighting Knights also welcome back
Elizabeth Clagett and
Emily Solomon, both of whom were named to the IWLCA All-South Region Team a season ago, providing Lynn with a veteran and experienced core heading into the 2026 campaign.
The Sunshine State Conference is well represented in the preseason poll, including No. 1 Tampa, No. 3 Florida Southern, No. 9 Embry-Riddle, No. 10 Saint Leo, No. 19 Rollins, and No. 24 Florida Tech.
Lynn will open the 2026 season on Friday, Feb. 13, with a road matchup at Florida Southern scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
