ORLANDO, Fla. - The Sunshine State Conference announced Monday that Lynn University men's lacrosse standouts
Dom Veratti and
Hunter Klosterman have been named Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.
Veratti powered the Fighting Knights' attack with a dominant offensive showing, totaling seven goals and 10 points across the week. The junior midfielder delivered a career performance in Sunday's matchup against Westminster, scoring a personal-best five goals and six total points. He also established new career highs in shots on goal (11), minutes played (60), and points (6).
The honor marks Veratti's first career SSC Offensive Player of the Week selection. He currently ranks third in the conference in goals per game (3.50), points per game (5.00), and shots per game (9.0).
On the defensive end, Klosterman anchored Lynn's back line with a strong showing in goal. The goalkeeper faced 37 shots in the week, recording 13 saves and posting a .591 save percentage. He also collected three ground balls to help lead the Fighting Knights' defensive effort.
Klosterman now ranks fourth in the SSC in saves per game (11.5).
Lynn returns to action Saturday, March 7, traveling to face Lewis University at 1:00 p.m.
