FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Lynn University men's golf team competed against a strong regional field at the 2026 Shark Invitational, finishing 11th overall at Grande Oaks Golf Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights posted rounds of 283, 287 and 303 to finish with a 54-hole total of 873 (+21)

Simon Roessler led Lynn with a three-round score of 218 (+5), highlighted by an opening round 67 (-4) to sit among the early leaders before finishing tied for 42nd overall

Andres Asin and
Sebastiano Mascia each turned in consistent performances, both finishing tied for 44th at 219 (+6) across the three rounds

Matthew DePinto added a 224 (+11) total, including a strong 69 (-2) in the opening round to help set the tone early for the Blue and White

Connor Owen rounded out the team scoring with a 228 (+15), bouncing back with a second-round 72 (+1) after a challenging opening round
- Competing as an individual,
Theo Desroches carded a 232 (+19) over three rounds, gaining valuable tournament experience against a competitive field
- Lynn showed strong early-round form with multiple players under par in round one, positioning themselves well before a tough final round against one of the deepest fields in the region
