DADE CITY, Fla. - The Lynn University men's golf team secured a runner-up finish at the 2026 Sunshine State Conference Championship, closing the three-round tournament at +13 behind a consistent, top-to-bottom effort at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club. The Fighting Knights were led by
Simon Roessler, who earned All-Tournament Team honors after finishing fourth at -4 overall, anchoring Lynn's lineup from start to finish and helping position the Blue and White for a strong postseason push.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Round 3:
- The Fighting Knights turned in a final-round 293 (+5) to finish the tournament at 878 (+14), securing second place in a competitive SSC field

Simon Roessler led the way once again, carding a 70 (-2) to finish the championship at -4 overall, earning a top-five individual finish
- Roessler delivered a composed round with a 35-35 split, consistently managing the course and closing strong to anchor the Lynn lineup

Andres Asin followed with a 73 (+1), capping off a solid tournament performance and finishing just above par overall
- Asin used a steady back nine (35) to recover from a challenging front and maintain position inside the top 10

Sebastiano Mascia added a 74 (+2), putting together a balanced effort with a 36 on the front nine and 38 on the back to contribute to the team score

Theo Desroches recorded a 75 (+3), showing consistency across both nines (38-37) to round out the counting scores for Lynn

- The Fighting Knights were led throughout the week by Roessler, who remained among the tournament leaders from start to finish, while multiple players contributed key rounds to secure Lynn's runner-up finish

- Lynn opened the tournament with a strong Round 1 score of 289 (+1), sitting second overall and establishing early contention
- The Blue and White followed with rounds of 296 (+8) and 293 (+5) to remain near the top of the rankings throughout the championship
- Roessler led Lynn from start to finish, placing inside the top five at -4 overall, including a tournament-low 67 (-5) in Round 1
- Roessler also led the entire field in pars (38), highlighting his consistency across all three rounds
