Roessler named to NCAA Division II PING All-South Region Team

NORMAN, Okla. - Simon Roessler added another major postseason honor to his standout senior campaign, earning selection to the 2026 NCAA Division II PING All-South Region Team as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday.

Roessler became one of 15 golfers recognized on the All-South Region Team after serving as one of the top performers for the Fighting Knights throughout the 2025-26 season.

The Santiago, Chile native finished the year ranked No. 47 nationally and No. 17 in the South Region while leading Lynn with a 71.4 adjusted scoring average across 33 rounds. Roessler consistently delivered against elite competition throughout the season, helping guide the Fighting Knights to a tournament victory at the National Preview along with a runner-up finish at the Sunshine State Conference Championship.

One of his strongest performances of the season came at the SSC Championship, where he finished fourth overall at four-under par to earn All-Tournament honors and help lead Lynn to a second-place team finish.

Roessler continued his strong postseason play at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional at Valdosta Country Club in Valdosta, Georgia, where he tied for 11th individually at five-under par. After opening the tournament with a two-over 74, the senior responded with two of the best rounds in the field over the final 36 holes.

During the second round, Roessler fired a four-under 68, highlighted by an eagle on the par-3 seventh hole while adding four birdies during the round. He followed it up with a three-under 69 in the final round, recording five birdies to climb 31 spots on the leaderboard across the final two days of competition.

Roessler closed the tournament with back-to-back under-par rounds and helped the Fighting Knights post their best team round of the regional during Saturday's final round.

Throughout the season, Roessler consistently positioned himself among the top players in highly competitive fields, adding top-five finishes at both the Saint Leo Invitational and National Preview while anchoring the Lynn lineup in every event.

Roessler now joins an elite group of golfers from across the South Region recognized by the GCAA for their excellence throughout the 2025-26 season.
