ORLANDO, Fla. - Louay Makke and
Davide Cortimiglia have been recognized among the Sunshine State Conference's top performers, earning All-SSC honors as announced by the league office. Makke earned Second Team Singles honors, while Makke and Cortimiglia collected First Team recognition in doubles.
Makke earned Second Team Singles distinction following a strong and consistent 2025-26 campaign, serving as one of the anchors of the Fighting Knights' lineup. The sophomore from Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, entered postseason play ranked No. 21 nationally in the ITA singles rankings after posting a 12-7 singles record while competing exclusively in the No. 1 flight for Lynn.
With a steady presence throughout the year, Makke delivered key performances against elite competition and helped set the tone for the Blue and White at the top of the lineup. His play at No. 1 singles helped Lynn navigate a demanding schedule that included 14 matches against nationally ranked opponents and seven against regionally ranked teams.
Makke also secured First Team Doubles honors alongside Cortimiglia after the duo put together a standout season for the Fighting Knights. Cortimiglia, a graduate student from Genoa, Italy, teamed with Makke to form one of the top doubles pairings in the country, entering postseason play ranked No. 15 nationally in the ITA doubles rankings.
Together, Makke and Cortimiglia posted a 13-3 doubles record, including a 13-2 mark in the No. 1 flight. The duo also went 2-1 in SSC play and helped lead Lynn's doubles lineup, which finished with a 14-4 record at the top flight.
With Makke earning All-SSC recognition in both singles and doubles, and Cortimiglia adding First Team Doubles honors, Lynn continues to be represented among the conference's top programs. The duo has been instrumental in helping the Fighting Knights remain competitive in one of the strongest tennis conferences in the country.
