VALDOSTA, Ga. - The Lynn University men's golf team wrapped up competition at the 2026 NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional on Saturday, posting its best round of the tournament with a 292 (+4) at Valdosta Country Club.
Simon Roessler led the Fighting Knights throughout the week, finishing tied for 11th overall at -5 after a final-round 69 (-3), while
Andres Asin also closed under par for the championship at -1. Roessler highlighted the regional with a second-round hole-in-one on the par-3 seventh hole and back-to-back rounds in the 60s as Lynn battled through one of the strongest regional fields in Division II golf.

Round 3
- The Fighting Knights closed the NCAA South/Southeast Regional with their best team round of the tournament, carding a 292 (+4) during Saturday's final round at Valdosta Country Club

Simon Roessler once again led the way for the Blue and White, firing a 69 (-3) to finish tied for 11th individually at -5 for the championship
- Roessler posted rounds of 68 and 69 over the final two days, climbing 31 spots on the leaderboard after opening the tournament at +2
- The senior turned in another balanced scorecard Saturday, shooting 35 on the front nine and 34 on the back while adding four birdies during the round
- Roessler finished the tournament tied for second in par-3 scoring at -2 and tied for eighth overall with 13 birdies across the three-day event

Andres Asin followed with an even-par 72, finishing tied for 22nd overall at -1 for the tournament
- Asin continued his consistent play throughout the regional, ranking ninth in the entire field in par-4 scoring at -3

Sebastiano Mascia delivered his best round of the week with a 73 (+1), highlighted by an even-par back nine to finish tied for 87th overall

Matthew DePinto added a 78 (+6), battling through a difficult inward nine while continuing to provide a counting score for Lynn

Theo Desroches completed the lineup with an 82 (+10) in the final round after stepping into the lineup during the second day of competition
- Lynn finished the final round ahead of Palm Beach Atlantic, Catawba and Miles while posting its lowest team total of the regional championship

- Lynn concluded the NCAA South/Southeast Regional in 18th place overall with a three-round total of 889 (+25) against one of the strongest regional fields in Division II golf
- Nova Southeastern captured the regional title at -24, while West Florida and Lee rounded out the top three team finishes
- Roessler led the Fighting Knights throughout the week, finishing tied for 11th overall at -5 after rounds of 74, 68 and 69
- The senior's second-round hole-in-one on the par-3 seventh hole stood out as one of the tournament's signature moments
- Asin also produced a strong regional showing, tying for 22nd overall at -1 with rounds of 70, 73 and 72
- As a team, Lynn tied for fourth in the tournament with two eagles over the three rounds
