BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Lynn University men's and women's cross country teams opened their 2026 campaigns Friday at the Keiser Flagship Cross Country Invitational at South County Regional Park, highlighted by a fourth-place finish from
Jessica Lombardo in the women's 5K.

Lombardo paced the Fighting Knights with a time of 18:46.42, crossing fourth overall and finishing as Lynn's lone top-10 performer of the meet.
Annabelle Daley joined Lombardo inside the top 15, finishing 15th in 19:19.12.

On the men's side,
Jackson Wood and
Dylan Herzog led a tightly packed Lynn group. Wood crossed 47th in 17:23.74, with Herzog following just three seconds later in 48th at 17:26.78.

- Lynn's five scoring runners combined for 144 points, placing the Fighting Knights fifth among the scoring teams

The Fighting Knights are back in action next weekend, heading south to Miami Gardens for the Bobcat Invitational on Friday, Sept. 11 at 6:15 pm. The women will compete in a 6k race while the men will run an 8k race.Â
