BOCA RATON, Fla. – The sixth-ranked Lynn University men's tennis team was outmatched on Saturday morning, dropping its first contest of the 2016 campaign to third-ranked Armstrong State University, 8-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Pirates swept all three doubles matches, taking a 3-0 edge into singles play.
- Seniors Pavel Mojha and Daniel Riggs put up the best fight in tandem action, dropping an 8-4 decision at the top spot to the 23rd-ranked team of Otakar Lucak and Jan Porteset.
- Armstrong State closed out the team win with triumphs in five of the six singles matches on the day.
- Mojha, the 46th-ranked singles player, picked up Lynn's lone point in the match, posting a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles. He is 3-0 in singles action on the year.
- Mehdi Laalej won the opening set 6-4 at the two spot, but was unable to hold off 29th-ranked Lucak in the next two frames (2-6, 3-6).
- Jose Porfirio Ordonez came up just short in a 7-5, 6-4 setback at No. 6 singles.
- Riggs went up against 2nd-ranked Pablo Gor at No. 1 singles, falling 6-4, 6-0.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- The Pirates boast three nationally-ranked singles players and two doubles pairs.
