Daytona Beach, Fla. – With the match tied at 3-3, senior Daniel Riggs closed out a second-set tiebreaker victory at No. 1 singles to give the sixth-ranked Lynn University men's tennis team a 4-3 decision over Division I Bethune-Cookman University on Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Following Division I doubles scoring, the Fighting Knights posted wins in the second and third flights to garner the lone doubles point in the match.
- At No. 2 doubles, Mehdi Laalej and Ethan Itzkovitz dropped the Wildcats 8-3 while Jose Porfirio Ordonez and Danyang Xu teamed up for a 6-2 triumph in the No. 3 match.
- With two Lynn victories, doubles competition was decided as Riggs and Pavel Mojha were locked at a stalemate with B-CU at No. 1 doubles.
- The Wildcats quickly got on the board with a win at No. 6 singles, bringing the score to 1-1.
- Laalej picked up his second win of the day and put Lynn back in front with a 6-2, 6-0 tally in the No. 3 slot.
- Bethune-Cookman answered back at No. 4 singles, but 46th-ranked Mojha regained the edge for Lynn with a 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 victory in the second flight.
- The home team brought the score to 3-3 after taking the No. 5 singles duel.
- After a 6-4 win the first set, Riggs found himself tied at 6-6 in the second with B-CU's Alexander Chepik at No. 1 singles. With the match on the line, Riggs closed out the seven-point tiebreaker (7-5) to secure the conquest for the Blue & White.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Lynn is 2-0 over the Wildcats in the past three seasons.
- Mojha is the only Fighting Knight to win all four singles matches so far this year.
