HOW IT HAPPENED:
Before tip-off seniors Shatorria Baker, Zachara Bailey, Maddie Herr, Bria Huffman, Tifani Kerrison and Charla Nelson-James were honored at half court for their accomplishments during their time at Lynn.
- First Quarter: The Eagles controlled the tip and began the scoring with a Sabrina Whiting three. Offense from Baker, Kerrison and Guillaume would help to pull the Blue & White to a three-point lead, 11-8. Embry-Riddle responded with an 11-0 run to end the quarter ahead 26-15.
- Second Quarter: Balanced offense from Nelson-James, Kerrison, Huffmann and Baker would help Lynn cut the deficit to three points, 30-27. A 7-2 run, though, from the Eagles to close out the half brought them to a 37-29 lead.
- Third Quarter: The Blue & White would come out hot, cutting a 10-point margin to just two in under four minutes. The scoring frenzy was capped off by a Nelson-James three to force Embry-Riddle into a timeout. Lynn headed into the last frame of play trailing 61-51.
- Fourth Quarter: Scoring from Nelson-James, Guillaume, Huffmann and Kerrison trimmed Embry-Riddle's advantage to four, 65-61. Almost perfect free-throw shooting (5-of-6) from the Eagles late in the quarter would push their lead enough to secure the win.
