St. Augustine, Fla. – The ninth-ranked Lynn University men's tennis squad utilized dominant singles play on Tuesday evening to come from behind and defeat No. 14 Flagler College, 5-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After three closely-contested doubles matchups, the Fighting Knights trailed 2-1.
- Jean-Baptiste Mateo and Daniel Riggs picked up the lone point for Lynn, winning 8-4 at the No. 2 spot.
- Flagler's fifth-ranked doubles squad of Kevin Gonzalez and Lukas Stork took the top match, 8-6, and garnered the lead at the No. 3 doubles flight in a 9-8 (8-6) tiebreaker.
- The Blue & White rattled off four consecutive straight-set wins in singles competition to erase the deficit and secure the win.
- Mateo dominated his opponent at the No. 5 position, 6-0, 6-0 while Jose Porfirio Ordonez gave his team its first lead of the match with a 6-0, 6-3 triumph at No. 6.
- Ethan Itzkovitz fought off Lennart Luneborg in the four spot, winning 6-4, 6-3.
- Mehdi Laalej brought home the victory for the Fighting Knights by taking down Willy Hasselberg at No. 3 (6-4, 6-4).
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Mateo remains undefeated in both singles and doubles since joining the starting lineup this season.
