Box Score LANTANA, Fla. - The Lynn University baseball team came away with a 12-8 victory over LIU Post on Wednesday evening, and the Fighting Knights have now won two games in as many days.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- LIU Post started the scoring in the first inning, plating two runs before starting pitcher Brian Kavanagh toed the rubber.
- After John Borup and Donovan Christman opened the home half with back-to-back hits, John Silviano put Lynn in the run column for the first time.
- Tyler Curtis and Alex Turner each reached first base on fielder's choice plays that brought in a run, and the Fighting Knights led 3-2 after one chapter.
- In the second, the Pioneers responded with their second consecutive two-run inning to regain the lead.
- Curtis scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game at 4-4.
- Each team posted three runs in the fifth to keep the game locked at seven runs apiece.
- Ryan Donovan came through with a clutch 2-RBI single to right field in the sixth to put Lynn in the driver's seat for good.
- Jonathon Corbitt hit the game's only home run a frame later to score a pair of insurance runs and give the Blue and White an 11-7 advantage.
- Donovan's second triple of the year came in the eighth, plating the final Lynn run of the night.
- Jimmy Mendyk's RBI groundout in the top of the ninth was as close as the Pioneers would get, and the Fighting Knights earned the 12-8 victory.
STATS FROM THE GAME:
- Jordan Lindsay made his season debut on the hill, lasting 1.2 frames before turning things over to the Lynn bullpen.
- Mike McFerran was the first reliever summoned, and he responded by giving the Fighting Knights 4.1 innings while allowing three runs en route to his first victory of the year.
- Ben Fagan tossed two unblemished innings before Jonathan Eisdorfer overcame a catcher's interference call and an unearned run for an otherwise perfect final stanza.
- Kavanagh tossed five innings for the visiting Pioneers, surrendering four runs on six base hits.
- Robert Paccione hurled the final three chapters and took the loss after giving up five runs and fanning four.
- Donovan posted the biggest offensive night on Wednesday, going 3-for-4 at the dish with a double, a triple, a run scored and 4 RBI.
- Borup, Curtis, and Miguel Ceballos each added two base hits, while Curtis and Corbitt were the only other Fighting Knights with a multi-RBI effort.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Lynn has now scored 10 or more runs in 11 of their last 12 games. The Fighting Knights are 9-3 in that stretch.
- The Fighting Knights issued 13 walks on Wednesday, their highest total of the season.
- Lynn has now won five consecutive games against schools from outside the state of Florida.
- Wednesday's victory was Lynn's first at a neutral site this spring.
