Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. – A goal midway through the opening half was all Lynn University's women's soccer team needed as the defense notched a clean sheet in a 1-0 victory over Newberry on Sunday morning. The Fighting Knights kept the Wolves at bay offensively by now allowing a single shot attempt.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Jordyn Turner found the back of the net in the 17th minute of play, when she one-timed a shot from the middle of the six-yard box off a cross by Alexis Vazquez from the right corner.
- Lynn's defense dominated from there, keeping possession for much of the match while holding the Wolves off the scoresheet.
STATS OF THE GAME:
- Turner scored her first goal of the season, attempting four shots in the match.
- Lynn outshot Newberry 24-0 and held a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks.
- Newberry split its goalkeepers through the match with Kodijean Johnson logging six saves and Korina Martinez one.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Turner's goal was only the second on the young season not scored by Donish Cole.
- This marks the first time Lynn has held an opponent without a shot since October 21, 2007 (4-0 win against Eckerd).
