Men's Basketball Misses Late Opportunities in Loss to Miles

Melbourne, Fla. – A day after posting its best shooting numbers on the season, Lynn University's men's basketball team was not able to follow up with a repeat performance on Tuesday afternoon as the Fighting Knights fell to Miles College, 72-67, on the final day of Florida Tech's Holiday Classic. The contest was knotted up at 59-59 with just over two minutes to play, but missed opportunities doomed the Blue and White as the Bears iced the game with free throws down the stretch.

  • After going three straight games in single digits, Ryan Peterson shot 7-of-15 from the field to return to double figures and lead his squad offensively with 17 points. He scored 13 in the second half.
