Melbourne, Fla. – A day after posting its best shooting numbers on the season, Lynn University's men's basketball team was not able to follow up with a repeat performance on Tuesday afternoon as the Fighting Knights fell to Miles College, 72-67, on the final day of Florida Tech's Holiday Classic. The contest was knotted up at 59-59 with just over two minutes to play, but missed opportunities doomed the Blue and White as the Bears iced the game with free throws down the stretch.

• After going three straight games in single digits, Ryan Peterson shot 7-of-15 from the field to return to double figures and lead his squad offensively with 17 points. He scored 13 in the second half.
• Randy Bell saw 18 minutes off the bench, recording 14 points behind a 6-of-6 performance at the foul line.
• Jamal Palmer had a balanced game with 11 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals to round of Lynn's double-digit scorers.
• Rasheed Worrell hauled in a team-high nine rebounds while swatting multiple blocks for the second straight game.
• In a team-high 33 minutes, Brandon Bornelus tacked on eight points while leading Lynn in assists (4) and steals (3).
• Daniel Cooper played a career-high 22 minutes off the bench, tallying four points and five boards.
• Lynn won the turnover battle, 22-14.

• Lynn has alternated wins and losses for the past nine games.
• The Fighting Knights did control the boards, outrebounding Miles 44-35. Lynn's 44 rebounds are one shy of tying the season-high.
• Lynn set a season-high in the steal column for the second consecutive game, recording 11 against the Golden Bears.
• Miles wins its first game of the season after starting 0-8.
• Lynn is now 3-3 in neutral-site games this season.
