Savannah, Ga. – Coming off a tough one-point loss on Friday, the eighth-ranked Lynn University men's tennis team bounced back valiantly on Saturday, taking down the No. 3 team in the nation, Armstrong State. The Fighting Knights utilized a clutch 3-0 advantage in doubles before securing a 5-1 triumph over the Pirates.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights turned in key performances in doubles action to build an early edge.
- Newcomers Kay Bartmann and Jakub Jiricka, playing together for the first time this spring, posted a monster victory at the No. 1 flight. The pair took down the fifth-ranked squad in the nation of Alberto Caceres and Jan Porteset, 9-7.
- Florian Clemares and Mehdi Laalej teamed up for an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles with Jean-Baptiste Mateo and Jose Porfirio Ordonez rounding out the sweep, 8-6.
- Lynn's top two singles players quickly pounced on the Pirates to prevent any sniff of a comeback.
- Laalej won in straight sets at the top flight, 6-0, 6-1 with Mateo bringing home the win at No. 2, 6-0, 6-2.
- 15th-ranked Bartmann and 22nd-ranked Ignacio Hernandez were off to a third set before the match was called.
