Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University women's soccer team stunned No. 22 Embry-Riddle in double overtime in the Sunshine State Conference opener on Saturday night at Bobby Campbell Stadium. Gabriela Moreira tallied a pair of goals—including the game-winner in the 107th minute—to lift the Fighting Knights to the upset victory.

- Emily Weisberg staked the Fighting Knights an early lead, finishing a penalty kick in the 18th minute to put the hosts on top, 1-0.
- Embry-Riddle rattled off back-to-back goals in the 35th and 42nd minutes to take a 2-1 lead into halftime after Maria Schmiedhofer and Ragnheiður Garðarsdóttir tallied goals for the Eagles.
- Moreira netted her first goal of the game in the 62nd minute, tying the score at 2-2 for the time being on a long lead pass from Loreana Lonigro.
- Lynn struck again in the 69th minute, when Jamie Perriello drove home a rebound off her own shot to give the Blue and White their second lead of the contest. The goal was Periello's first of the season.

- Moreira put the game on ice in the 107th minute, taking a through ball from Donish Henry-Cole and breaking away from the defense to beat the keeper one-on-one.
- Alexa Downie stopped nine shots—the second-highest total of her career—for her third win of the season.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The victory was the first over a nationally-ranked team for the Fighting Knights under Cally Morrill's tenure.
- Embry-Riddle had a goal called back after being caught offside in the 53rd minute. The Fighting Knights scored back-to-back goals to retake the lead following the call.
- The game-winning goal was the first of Moreira's career and gave her nine total points on the season with four goals and one assist.
- Lynn's win was its first in a Sunshine State Conference contest since its win over Eckerd on Oct. 17, 2015. The Fighting Knights managed a pair of draws against conference competition a season ago.
