Boca Raton, Fla. – Lynn University's women's soccer team jumped out to a 6-1 advantage courtesy of three Anniina Sankoh goals and then held off a furious comeback from visiting Johnson and Wales, winning by a 6-4 final score on Tuesday night.

STATS OF THE GAME:

• Lynn started the scoring early for the second straight game as Ariella Kaplan fired home a goal on a Sankoh assist 45 seconds into the match.
• JWU answered a short time later with a  Savannah Jackson goal, which knotted the score at 1-all
• The Blue and White then responded in a major way, scoring four goals before half time to take a commanding 5-1 lead into the break.
• Sankoh capped off her hat-trick in the 50th minute, seemingly putting the game on ice.
• JWU proved its resiliency with three Jackson goals between the 70th and 79th minute.
• Saige Griffin and Johanna Nilsson each scored once for the Blue and White.
• Lynn outshot Johnson and Wales 19-13 and held a 5-1 advantage on corner kicks.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

• Sankoh has scored nine goals in her last two games, the most in a two-game stretch in program history.
• The goal for Griffin was the first of her career.
