Melbourne, Florida – Lynn men's swimming met in Melbourne to take on Saint Leo and Florida Tech. Josh Fountain placed first in two events and Julian Chan Quee Lin would place first in one. The Fighting Knights, however, fell to Florida Tech 142-120 and Saint Leo 137-125.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the opening event for the men, the 200-yard medley relay, Lynn placed third and fourth. The third-place team featured Thomas Labarias, Ignacio Alvarez, Malek Masmoudi and Dalton Brown who swam a collective time of 1:36.77.
- Fountain led the way in the 1000-yard freestyle with a final time of 9:43.64. His best lap in the race was 26.10.
- In the third event, the 200-yard freestyle, the Fighting Knights placed second. Chan Quee Lin's final time of 1:42.35 helped the Fighting Knights take second in that event.
- In the 100-yard backstroke, Lynn's best placement was a third-place finish from Labarias (54:21).
- In the 200-yard butterfly, Masmoudi placed second with a time of 1:58.26.
- In the 50-yard freestyle, Brown and Ethan Sido finished third and fourth, respectively. Their final times were 21.90 and 22.03, just off the pace of the winner who swam 21.68.
- The Fighting Knights took home second, third and fourth in the 100-yard freestyle. Chan Quee Lin, Brown, and Philip Rhodes had final times of 47.52, 47.93, and 49.05, respectively.
- The 500-yard freestyle saw an epic battle between two Fighting Knights. Ultimately, Fountain took home first with a final time of 4:43.00, just barely beating Masmoudi who placed second in the event with a time of 4:43.17.
- Chan Quee Lin placed first in the 100-yard butterfly with a final time of 51.29.
- In the 200-yard IM, Masmoudi placed second with a final time of 1:58.60.
- In the final event, the 400-yard freestyle relay, Lynn place third with a final time of 3:10.32.
NEXT MEET:
The Fighting Knights will return home for a meet against Nova Southeastern on Friday, Nov. 12 at 12 p.m.
