SARASOTA, Fla. - Lynn swimming made a major statement on the national stage at the 2025 CSCAA Open Water Championship, highlighted by a championship performance from
Efe Guler, who captured first place overall in the men's 5K race at Nathan Benderson Park.

Guler topped a stacked field of 89 swimmers representing multiple divisions, reaching the finish line at 52:54.1 to secure the overall victory. His winning time also earned him first place in the Division II classification, underscoring Lynn's presence among the nation's elite distance programs.

The Fighting Knights were well represented throughout the men's race, as
Kamil Geisner and
Emre Sungur also competed against the deep national field. Geisner finished 40th overall with a time of 56:23.5, while Sungur followed with a 56th-place showing, clocking 58:50.6 in the demanding open water event.

Conditions were ideal for championship racing, with warm Florida temperatures and calm waters allowing for fast, competitive swims throughout the morning session.

On the women's side,
Eva Stacey represented the Blue and White in the 5K open water race, placing 40th overall and 11th among Division 2 competitors at 1:00.53, continuing Lynn's presence across both championship fields.
