Boca Raton, Florida – The Fighting Knights came to swim today as they placed first in seven of the 14 events, including a tie for first, but the Panthers ultimately would win after all 14.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• In the opening event for the men, the 200 Yard Medley Relay, Lynn's top finish would be second place. The team featured Mike Sickels, Ignacio Alvarez, Joshua Fountain, and Dalton Brown; collectively finishing in 1:38.14.
• In the second event, the 1000 Yard Freestyle, Lynn placed second and third. Mohamed Masmoudi finished with a time of 9:51.51 and Derek Halas for a time of 10:18.47, good enough for second and third respectively.
• The 200 Yard Freestyle saw Lynn's first, first-place finish. Fountain's time of 1:43.19 and fastest lap of 24.49 helped him to take home first in the event.
• The Fighting Knights took third in the 100 Yard Backstroke. Sickels' time of 56.75 was only .48 behind second place.
• In the 100 Yard Breaststroke, the Fighting Knights and the Panthers would tie for first. Alvarez's time of 59.83 would tie with Florida Tech's top swimmer, as Joseph Cirame placed fourth in the event.
• In the 200 Yard Butterfly, Julian Chan Quee Lin placed in second for the Fighting Knights with his time of 1:55.03.
• Lynn took home first again in the Men 50 Yard Freestyle. Brown's time of 21.99 was the fastest in the event by .20.
• In the 100 Yard Freestyle, the Fighting Knights dominated the Panthers. Chan Quee Lin led the Fighting Knights with a time of 47.42 for first place; while Masmoudi (.16 behind Chan Quee Lin) and Fountain rounded out second and third, respectively.
• The 200 Yard Backstroke saw the Fighting Knights' best finish coming in third. Sickels' time of 2:01.97 was only .03 behind second place.
• The 200 Yard Breaststroke again saw Lynn come in third with Alvarez's time of 2:18.73.
• In the 500 Yard Freestyle, the Fighting Knights would round out the top four spots. Fountain's time of 4:49.99 took home first, his second on the day. Masmoudi's 4:50.14 took second, Halas in third, and Brad Jacobs in fourth.
• The 100 Yard Butterfly again saw the Fighting Knights take first place. Chan Quee Lin time of 51.57 would take home first by .05, his second first-place finish on the day.
• In the 400 Yard IM, Lynn's best finish was fourth as a result of Jeff Davenport.
• Finally, in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, the men would again place first. With a time of 1:25.89, the team of Lucas Olivos, Chan Quee Lin, Ethan Sido, and Brown took first. Lynn would also place third with a time of 1:28.56.
