Boca Raton, Florida, July 21, 2021 – Lynn University men's golfers Jorge Villar, Agustin Errazuriz and Toto Gana, were recognized by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as members of the NCAA Division II PING All-America Teams. Villar earns First Team, Errazuriz earns Second Team and Gana was named an Honorable Mention.
All three athletes were previously honored as members of the All-SSC First Team, with Errazuriz being named SSC Golfer of the Year, the third Fighting Knight in program history to achieve this feat.
During the 2020-21 season, the three athletes led Lynn to a fifth SSC Golf Title in April. Errazuriz won the conference championship event with a 54-hole score of 212. Gana finished tied for third and Villar tied for seventh.
Villar led the way for the Fighting Knights at the 2021 NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regionals. For the 54-hole tournament, he finished in fifth place with a score of 215. This is the second time that the GCAA has recognized him. In 2018-19 he was named a PING All-America Honorable Mention.
Errazuriz won two tournaments this season and secured four Top-6 finishes. His scoring average for the season was 70.67, the best average score in the SSC. This is the first time that he has been honored by the GCAA.
Gana caps his outstanding career with Lynn by being recognized as a PING Division II All-America team member in all four of his seasons with the Fighting Knights. He was previously a member of the First Team in 2018-19, a member of the Second Team in 2017-18, and an Honorable mention in 2019-20.
